TIPS FOR STRESS-FREE TRAVELLING TO OUR DESTINATION WEDDING:
The best way to reach the Lake is to take a flight to Milan, which has three airports in the area, the closest of which being Malpensa, about one hour from Como.
From the airport, the best ways to reach Lake Como are either to rent a car at the airport (in our experience the best website for hire cars is www.carrentals.com) or consult our wedding planner's trusted limousine service company: simone@thelakecomoweddingplanner.com
We recommend booking your airport transfers in advance.
Simone's rates for airport transfers from airports to Lake Como start from €140,00 depending on the number of passengers and the final destination (see tab below for more information).
If you are traveling by train from Malpensa Airport you could take the Malpensa Express departing every 15 minutes. Please be careful to jump off at the stop in "Saronno" and take the connecting train to Como train station (the most central ones are Como Lago and Como San Giovanni). We are looking forward to seeing you in Lake Como in less than a week! We are so happy you could join us for this weekend of celebrations.
Since transportation options are very limited on the Lake, we have arranged transfers to and from each of the wedding events from the main hotels on the lake.
In your rooms, you will find a welcome booklet with all the information but please see all details below as well so you can plan in advance.
For the ladies, if you are wearing heels you will find flip-flops in the welcome bags in your room to help you get on and off the boats and heel protectors will be available at all the events.
Grand Hotel Victoria
- Welcome Dinner on 2 September: A boat will be available at 5PM to board directly from the hotel dock and take you across the lake to Villa Pliniana for our welcome dinner! Cocktail hour will start at 6PM, followed by dinner. A return transfer back to your accommodation will be available from 10:30PM.
- Wedding Day on 3 September: Cars will pick you up at 3:30PM from the hotel and take you to Villa Balbiano for the wedding celebrations. Return transfers are available from 10PM until late.
- Goodbye Brunch on 4 September: Cars will pick you up at 12PM from the hotel and take you to Lido di Lenno. Return transfers are available from 2 to 6PM.

- Wedding Day on 3 September: A boat will be available between 3:40 and 4PM directly at the hotel dock and to take you across the lake to Villa Balbiano. Welcome cocktails will be served from 4PM and the ceremony will take place at 5PM. Return transfers are available from 10PM until late.
- Goodbye Brunch on 4 September: A boat will be available at 11:30AM directly at the hotel dock and to take you across the lake to Lido di Lenno. Return transfers are available from 2 to 6PM.
